Our featured speaker, Aimee Garcia is A SAG Award Nominee and best known for her roles on TV hits, Dexter, Lucifer and The George Lopez Show, as well as big screen favorites Spanglish and RoboCop. In addition to her Hollywood credits, Garcia is an accomplished author, co-writing Universal’s Blade of the 47 Ronin with New York Times Best Seller AJ Mendez and Wonder Women: Black & Gold issue for DC Comics. As a Northwestern University graduate and Chicago native, Garcia understands the need for increased book ownership in her hometown area.
Set to be a wonderful evening celebrating Aimee’s career and how access to books helped shape her life. Garcia will be joined by Chris “Fred” Fredrick from the iHeart Media KISS FM’s nationally syndicated The Fred Show in what is sure to be a spirited conversation.
