BIRDIES & BOOKS

Bernie’s Book Bank Charity Golf Classic

Birdie’s & Books is the longest-running fundraising event for Bernie’s Book Bank. Since its inception, Birdies & Books has provided its participants with a unique and meaningful golf experience that brings them much closer to the mission and work of Bernie’s Book Bank.

So, it is only appropriate that this year the event will again be held at the historic Onwentsia Club, host of the 1906 U.S. Open, and whose name means “meeting place” in Iroquois. We invite you to meet us there and help Bernie’s Book Bank further its ability to provide books for a better life for hundreds of thousands of at-risk Chicagoland children.

Bernie’s Book Bank plays a crucial role in instilling a love for books and reading in our students.  Many of our students do not have adequate access to quality books and Bernie’s Book Bank has helped to supplement this need.  Our students beam with excitement every time they receive their bag of books!
