Attention all!
Our amazing friends at Wintrust have partnered with us to become book drop partners! All Illinois Wintrust Bank locations can now accept book donations for us.This increase in our book drop locations will open up more opportunities for Bernie’s Book Bank to receive books for our organization. More books donated by you means more books received by at-risk children in the Chicagoland area!
In addition, Wintrust is sponsoring a public service announcement for our exciting news. The announcement is below. Thank you, Wintrust!
More than $2 billion is spent each year on students who repeat a grade because they have reading problems. But YOU can help lower that number by donating to Bernie’s Book Bank in Lake Bluff, IL. They efficiently collect, processes and distribute books for at-risk children in the Chicagoland area. If you don’t live in the area and can’t make it out to the northern suburbs to drop off your book donations, Bernie’s Book Bank’s partnership with Wintrust Bank makes it that much easier for you. This partnership allows you to drop off your book donations at any Wintrust Bank in the Chicagoland area and those books you donate will make it to their processing center in Lake Bluff without wasting any of your gas or time. To learn more about Bernie’s Book Bank and their mission to help children read their way to a better life, visit their website at Bernie’s Book Bank dot org or call 847-780-READ. Again, that website is Bernie’s book bank dot org and that phone number is 847-780-READ.

The link on this page in the last paragraph which states “For locations, please visit this link” is not working. We’d like to make sure it’s working before passing on this information. Thanks.
Do you except Text Books? Thank You for your service.
We do not accept text books. We do accept all new and gently used children’s books for birth through 6th grade level. Thank you for your question!
Where is a list of addresses of drop off places?
And are you near the train station?
Thanks for all you the lives you have changed
