“Goddard School preschoolers from 18 Chicago area locations hosted a month-long charity book drive in January with the goal of collecting over 30,000 books for Bernie’s Book Bank. On Jan. 27, Goddard School preschoolers delivered 32,502 books to the Book Bank and more than 40 children and franchisees volunteered to help to sticker and stack hundreds of books at the Book Bank’s new book processing facility in Lake Bluff.”

At the same time, a plaque and a $10,000 check was presented to Bernie’s Book Bank in honor of late Vernon Hills franchisee Wes Ley. This is the third year the Goddard School has hosted a book drive to benefit Bernie’s Book Bank, with the donations now totaling 105,838 books — the largest donation the charity has ever received.”
