We’re proud to announce that Bernie’s Book Bank has been selected as the charitable partner for the 2019 Chicago Flower & Garden Show.
The 2019 show titled, “FLOWERTALES: The Story Grows On” is a continuation of the 2018 show, “FLOWERTALES: Every Garden Has A Story To Tell.” The mission of Bernie’s Book Bank, to increase book ownership among at-risk children throughout Chicagoland, perfectly coincides with the reading and storytelling themes interwoven in these shows.

Rosborough Partners, Inc. designed and built a spectacular garden dedicated to Bernie’s Book Bank for the 2018 show. The storybook garden featured flowers blooming with books, a woodland fairytale scene and a reading bench with bright green accents, reminiscent of the look of our Lake Bluff location. We’re thankful to Rosborough Partners for bringing the spirit of Bernie’s Book Bank to life in a colorful and creative way at the show.
The 2019 Chicago Flower & Garden Show is planned for Wednesday, March 20 through Sunday, March 24 at Navy Pier. The popular Evening in Bloom charity preview, benefiting Bernie’s Book Bank, will be held from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2019.
