Bernie’s Book Bank was recently featured on CBS 58’s Natalie’s Everyday Heroes. The segment provided a behind-the-scenes look at the Lake Bluff facility and included interviews with Greater Milwaukee Executive Director Jenna Renno and Founder Brian Floriani.
Floriani shared his mission to improve children’s literacy by providing free books to local kids in Greater Milwaukee. Since its founding in 2009, Bernie’s Book Bank has distributed over 28 million books and is now expanding its impact in the area.
Emphasizing that literacy is a necessity, not a luxury, Floriani highlighted the importance of ensuring all children have access to books. Bernie’s Book Bank collects, processes, and distributes new and gently used children’s books to help increase book ownership and foster a love of reading.
