HELP REWRITE THE ENDING OF THE CHILDREN’S LITERACY CRISIS IN AMERICA

There are many ways to make a difference with Bernie’s Book Bank. Whether you’re volunteering solo or with a group, hosting a community book drive, or participating in a local event, your impact is immediate and meaningful.

We welcome all ages and abilities to join us in our mission of book ownership. Every book you help sort, every dollar you donate, and every moment you give helps get books into the hands and homes of children who need them most.

Volunteer with Us

Our volunteer force allows us to move mountains of books every month. Whatever your age, whatever your ability, there’s a place for you and what you bring.

Donate Books

In every bag of eight books we pack for children, there’s one special book that has been donated by someone in the community — someone like you. Drop off gently used children’s books at any of our local drop-off partner locations or organize a book drive.

Start a Fundraiser

Champion the mission by fundraising on behalf of Bernie’s Book Bank in your community. Every $16 raised provides 8 books a year to a child who needs them.

EVERY DOLLAR YOU DONATE IS AN INVESTMENT IN CHANGING FUTURES

Books in a child’s home are the single biggest indicator of academic success — surpassing income, parents’ education, and all other factors. If you want to make a difference in children’s lives, now and in the future, there’s no better way than to help us get books into the homes and hands of children who need them most.
