On Tuesday, July 21, we were honored to host the Antetokounmpo Academy at our facility for an incredible day of service.
Throughout the day, campers rotated through four service stations. Their hard work helped move several important projects forward while giving them a hands-on opportunity to make a difference.
These young volunteers were ready to help with:
- Mulching around the facility grounds
- Building two Little Free Libraries that will also help expand access to books in the community
- Litter pickup and furniture washing in preparation for Wednesday’s ribbon-cutting and facility dedication
- Stickering new books for distribution, ensuring they are ready to reach readers across the area
One of the most impressive accomplishments of the day was the campers’ work preparing books for distribution. In just a few hours, they stickered approximately 3,000 books, an incredible achievement that will help us get more books into the hands of children throughout the Greater Milwaukee community.
We are deeply grateful to the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation (CAFF), the Antetokounmpo Academy participants, and every volunteer who dedicated their time and effort to making the day such a success.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to Midwest Construction Group and Little Free Library for helping make this day possible.
