Bernie’s Book Bank sources, processes, and distributes quality children’s books to at-risk Chicagoland children. Each child receives 12 books throughout the school year, but our mission does not stop when the school year ends. Bernie’s Book Bank works year-round to provide books for a better life.
This summer, Bernie’s Book Bank is continuing its partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository to provide 12 free books to at-risk children at summer meal sites. In addition to this distribution option, children can also pick up 12 free books at Chicago Public Library branches on select community days!
