Lia Douglas is the Director of Strategic Initiatives for KPMG Chicago, KPMG’s second largest market. Lia develops strategies, leads projects and enables connectivity across KPMG’s business, talent and community platforms in pursuit of strategic, major market goals. She helps executives and cross-functional teams collaborate, perform at their highest levels, and contribute to the growth of the business.
Her professional work and personal passion intersect with literacy. Lia helps to lead KFFL (KPMG’s Family for Literacy) Chicago, KPMG’s primary charitable platform created to harness the energy and enthusiasm of KPMG’s broader family to create sustainable improvements in literacy rates across our communities. This common mission – increasing literacy rates through book ownership – is what first led Lia to Bernie’s Book Bank in 2015. In 2017, she became a proud member of the Bernie’s Book Bank Board of Directors.
Lia received her B.A. from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign. She lives in Barrington with her husband, Eric and their daughters, Rosie and Avery (who are now learning to read).
