It’s always better to give than to receive during the holiday season, but the Highland Park High School boys club hockey program found a way to do both this year.
The Giants varsity and junior varsity teams partnered with Bernie’s Book Bank in Lake Bluff to gather 2,500 books for children during their holiday book drive earlier in December.
The teams wanted to donate 500 books, so the 2,500 was an amazing feat, said varsity captain Kieran Jagadeesh.

We would like to thank these teams for their awesome contribution. Once these books are processed and distributed, they will make the holiday season magical for some lucky Chicagoland children.
