Marketing & Communications Specialist
Elizabeth Blasko was introduced to Bernie’s Book Bank in 2014 when she served as the Nonprofit Management Intern. She was instantly captivated by the impact that this organization has on at-risk children throughout Chicagoland. Since her internship, Elizabeth graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and earned her Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance in 2016. Following graduation, she had the pleasure of working for The Walt Disney Company and Hendrick Motorsports.
In 2018 Elizabeth joined the Bernie’s Book Bank team in a full-time capacity as the Marketing and Communications Specialist. In this position she plays a key role in increasing awareness of Bernie’s Book Bank in the community.
Elizabeth’s favorite children’s books is “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” by Dr. Seuss and her favorite novel is “The Great Gatsby.” When she is not reading, Elizabeth enjoys watching NASCAR, traveling and volunteering.
