Luke’s of Lake Bluff* is a fellow Lake Bluff establishment. This family restaurant takes pride in its motto, “We don’t serve fast food, we serve good food fast,” and we can’t help but agree! As well as having one of the widest menu selections around, they also host a kindly staff committed to quality eats and accommodating service. They have everything from Taco Tuesday, Chicago dog stand staples, and pizza and pasta that fulfills a promise to enjoy every bite. Bernie’s Book Bank drivers rave about their scrumptious beef sandwiches, homemade pizzas and hearty burgers. My personal pick is the Hangry Jerry burger: juicy burger patty, melted cheese, a pile of gyro meat, crisp bacon and a fried egg as the pièce de résistance. They also serve a noteworthy Luke’s burger. This patty is generously topped with homemade Italian beef, mozzarella and hot giardiniera. We, as Chicago Style food connoisseurs, give Luke’s a grade A recommendation for their unique menu, delectable eats, and welcoming service.
