ANNE LOSHBOUGH

Volunteering, and then working, for Bernie’s Book Bank is a perfect fit for Anne, who taught high school English for over 20 years. When she moved to Illinois to be closer to family, Anne left behind a teaching career, but not her love of reading.

While tutoring in an after-school volunteer position, Anne worked with children who had received books from Bernie’s Book Bank and saw their excitement first-hand. She is honored to serve the mission and has been able to see the full circle of what Bernie’s Book Bank does, and the joy it brings.

She is passionate about traveling with her husband Brian, as well as anything in the great outdoors – including hiking, backpacking, scuba diving, gardening, and even mowing the grass.

But there is very little she likes more than reading a good book or two with her grandsons!
