More than 200 players teed off on Monday, October 7th for the annual Birdies & Books Charity Golf Classic. It was a perfect fall day for 18 holes of competitive and meaningful golf at Shoreacres.
2019 marks the 10th anniversary of Bernie’s Book Bank. In his remarks, Founder and Chief Advancement Officer Brian Floriani reflected on what this milestone means, “When I was carrying bags here, I used to dream about having an organization that would be worthy of being at Shoreacres. Having all of you here to spend the day with us for the children we serve…know that your support will never be taken for granted at Bernie’s Book Bank. Thank you for everything you do.”
Congratulations to the winning team: Tricia Dell, Sean Fahey, Ryan Kengott and Todd Souder. Each champion was presented with a framed original thank you note from a child who receives books from Bernie’s Book Bank. Their names have also been added to the coveted Birdies & Books trophy.
